From a humble beginning in 1982, Awami Laboratories® is now serving as one of the top producer of quality medicine giving measurable results in healthcare sector. It was initiated about three decades ago by the Hakeem Ikram Hussain Bhatti. Its inception was in the shape of a small manufacturing facility in Lahore, Pakistan as Awami Dawakhana® with an ambition to provide health products to general public utilizing the original philosophical concepts of Tib-e-Unani while product range was primarily focused on extracts in oil form and repackaging of basic herbs.
In 2003 the eldest son of Hakeem Ikram Hussain, Mr. Irfan Shahid after completing M.B.A in marketing, laid the foundations of today’s modern Awami Laboratories® that has now evolved into state of the art manufacturing facility at 1.3Km Noorewala Road, Off Burj Attari, Lahore Jaranwala Road Dist. Sheikhupura that outweighs by far, the expectations of its original founder. In the year 2013 third son of Hakeem Ikram Hussain, Mr. Usman Bhatti joined heading production after completing his B-Pharm, MPhil (Pharmacognosy) with experience of teaching pharmacognosy in renowned educational institutions and pharmaceutical production. This has given Awami an opportunity to step into an era of technology and progression to another peak.
