Our Journey
- From a humble beginning in 1982, Awami Laboratories® is now serving as one of the top producers of quality medicines giving measurable results in the healthcare sector. It was initiated by Hakeem Ikram Hussain Bhatti, starting as a small manufacturing facility in Lahore, Pakistan under the name Awami Dawakhana®, with a product range focused primarily on extracts in oil form and repackaging of basic herbs.
- In 2003, the eldest son of Hakeem Ikram Hussain, Mr. Irfan Shahid (M.B.A in Marketing), laid the foundations of today’s modern Awami Laboratories®. It has now evolved into a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at 1.3Km Noorewala Road, Off Burj Attari, Lahore Jaranwala Road, District Sheikhupura.
- In 2013, the third son of Hakeem Ikram Hussain, Mr. Usman Bhatti (B-Pharm, M.Phil Pharmacognosy), joined the company to lead pharmaceutical production.
