Colour Therapy
Colour therapy (chromotherapy) is a natural healing approach based on the idea that colour can affect the mind and body.
The concept has ancient roots — Avicenna (980–1037) discussed colour in The Canon of Medicine, believing red moved blood, blue and white cooled it, and yellow reduced pain and inflammation.
According to Ayurvedic and Unani traditions, colours carry qualities: white, gold, violet and blue are considered calming and beneficial; yellow, orange, red and purple are stimulating; and brown, black and grey are heavy.
Colours also influence mood and personality — red raises blood pressure and stimulates adrenaline, blue calms and slows the pulse, and green is balancing. We recommend using natural colour as part of an overall healthy lifestyle.
